During the summer of 2000 on a rainy Saturday night, I was sitting at the dining room table playing cards with some friends and brainstorming on different ways to earn a living. My buddy Dan mentioned that the window cleaning business is very lucrative.  

He said he knew a guy who drove around town with his old Ford truck and was pulling in $1100.00 a week with his own window cleaning business.

Now I gotta tell you, when he first said that it seemed like he was stretching the truth a bit, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to at least find out more.  

So the following week I spoke with two window cleaners in town, and what I found out made me think that starting a window cleaning business was a really good idea.  

They both were rather pointed, and said that getting clients can be easy and the income is great. I figured too that having a flexible schedule would allow me more free time to spend with family and friends (And it really did).  

Well folks, I took the plunge... and went fully invested into my own window cleaning business, and it's now a very successful venture that services 187 window cleaning accounts in Oakland and Macomb counties (Just north and west of Detroit, MI).
